Ignacio Taylor

Tribal Youth Organizer

Our Team

Ignacio Taylor is a lineal descendant of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes. His tribal community resides in Anadarko, Oklahoma, He was born and raised in Sacramento and is currently attending American River College, where he’s working towards a minor in Native Studies. At ARC, he is actively involved in the Native American Resource Center, where he helps support and connect with other American Indian students. Every Wednesday, they hold community gatherings to share meals, discuss our experiences, and collectively address the challenges they face within colonial educational institutions. He is also currently a California Ambassador for The Center of Native American Youth; his selected initiative is to create awareness for tribal youth issues throughout the state and now with this platform, nationally.

Ignacio is the Tribal Youth Organizer for the Tribal Department at Youth Forward. He works on advocating for tribal foster youth in the city and played an instrumental role in advocating for the guaranteed basic income program for aging out foster youth within the Sacramento Children’s Fund.

Ignacio is a dedicated Native man, always willing to help and be of support to those that need it.
